Crafted of polished 10 karat yellow gold, this is a classic of the Retro era. Carnelian is the reddish-orange version of chalcedony and can either be uniformly colored or have visible bands through the stone. In this case, the stone has been carved inwards, in the classic intaglio fashion, with the profile of a Roman Soldier.
